University of Utah Delegation Visits MNUE

A delegation from University of Utah, USA, visited the Mongolian National University of Education (MNUE) to strengthen academic cooperation and exchange experiences in teacher development. The delegation included Lee Ann Davis, Specialist for Culture and Community Affairs at Jordan District Secondary School, and Elementary School Counselor Chanar. Their program featured:

• A meeting with G. Tsogzolmaa, Head of MNUE’s Foreign Relations Office, to discuss future collaboration.

 • A tour of the university’s main campus.

• A visit to the National Center for Teacher Development, where Director O. Bud presented the center’s activities.

• An inspection of MNUE’s affiliated secondary school and a meeting with Principal M. Munkhbaatar.

 • Classroom observation led by L. Enkhbayar, lecturer at the Department of English and German Languages, followed by a Q&A session on the TESOL program.

Discussions highlighted opportunities for joint work with Utah professor team on teacher development in both urban and rural areas, implementation of TESOL programs, and leadership training in the education sector. This visit marks a significant step in expanding cooperation between MNUE and Utah State University, fostering mutual learning, and introducing innovative approaches to teacher development and teaching methodology.
