On 28 May 2026, a signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement between the Mongolian National University of Education and Neubrandenburg University of Applied Sciences of the Federal Republic of Germany was held at MNUE.
The ceremony was attended by Prof. J. Batbaatar, President of MNUE; Assoc. Prof. G. Tsogzolmaa, Director of the Office of International Relations; Dr. B. Munkhzaya, Dean of the School of Preschool Education; N. Norjkhorloo, senior faculty member of MNUE; officers from the Office of International Relations; and representatives of Neubrandenburg University of Applied Sciences, including professor Dr. Claudia Nürnberg, Head of the Department of Early Childhood Education, and visiting professor Dr. Bernhard Nagel.
Dr. Bernhard Nagel has maintained long-standing cooperation with MNUE and has delivered presentations at MNUE’s international conferences on education on topics such as “The Importance of Preschool Institutions in an Institutionalized Education System” and “Quality Assurance in Higher Education.” He also served as an advisor to the 2023 ACQUIN accreditation team, contributing to the quality and development of MNUE’s academic programmes.
Within the framework of cooperation between the two universities, Dr. Claudia Nürnberg and Dr. Bernhard Nagel visited MNUE from 20 March to 1 April 2025 and organized national-level lectures, meetings, discussions, and academic events in the fields of preschool and primary education. In particular, on 26 March 2025, they delivered a lecture titled “International Trends in Preschool and Primary Education Curricula” in both in-person and online formats. The lecture was attended by more than 100 participants, including representatives from the General Authority for Education, the National Institute for Educational Research, the Education Evaluation Center, MNUE, the School of Preschool Education, the Teachers School, and preschool education specialists from provincial and capital city education departments and divisions. They also conducted online and in-person training sessions for teachers and experts from MNUE’s Arkhangai and Bayan-Ulgii Branch Schools and visited a kindergarten in Argalant soum, Tuv Province.
In addition, a small number of students from Neubrandenburg University of Applied Sciences have been undertaking practicum training at kindergartens in Darkhan-Uul Province since March 2026, serving as a concrete example of the practical implementation of cooperation between the two universities.
Under this agreement, the two parties agreed to further expand their cooperation in areas such as student and faculty exchange, practicum training, joint research, academic projects, and professional development training.
The signing ceremony marked an important milestone in expanding MNUE’s international cooperation, promoting the exchange of international experience, and increasing opportunities for joint research, training, and practicum activities.
