PROFESSOR KARIN PITTNER AWARDED "HONORARY DOCTOR" TITLE

On September 13, 2024, Professor Karin Pittner from the Department of German Linguistics at Ruhr University Bochum, Germany, was awarded the title of "Honorary Doctor" by MNUE’s School of the Humanity and Social Sciences.

Professor Pittner has played a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of German language instruction at MNUE and enriching students' knowledge of German language and culture as part of the partnership between MNUE and Ruhr University Bochum. Notable achievements include:

  • 26 students and 12 researchers from MNUE's German language department studied in Germany, while 23 German professors and assistant teachers contributed to MNUE, organizing 17 professional development seminars and initiating various micro-projects.
  • The MNUE German Language Library was furnished with modern textbooks and research materials, and a German language classroom was equipped with state-of-the-art teaching tools.
  • A short video presentation in German showcasing Mongolian culture, as well as a presentation on German life and traditions, was created and uploaded to YouTube to promote cultural exchange.
